Red Pill Blues is the sixth studio album by Maroon 5. It was released on November 3, 2017, by 222 and Interscope Records. The title of the album refers to the science fiction term of taking the red pill or the blue pill, which originated from the 1999 sci-fi film The Matrix. The album is the follow-up to their fifth studio album V (2014) and features guest appearances from ASAP Rocky, SZA, LunchMoney Lewis and Julia Michaels.
NFL’s Tim Tebow, Drew Brees and NBA player Shaquille O’Neal are also among the slew of athletes that have been tapped as guests for the NBC late-night talker.
In keeping with the theme of sports, the NBC late-night talker will welcome guests like Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow, New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and former NBA player Shaquille O’Neal for the Feb. 1-3 episodes, broadcasting from Indianapolis’ Hilbert Circle Theatre.
Guest announcers will be Deion Sanders, Michael Strahan and Bob Costas. For the post-Super Bowl live episode on Feb. 5 following the premiere of The Voice, Steve Higgins will be on hand to announce. (Guests for that episode are Andy Samberg and Adam Sandler.)
Additionally, Taylor Lautner, Tracy Morgan, The Voice coach Adam Levine, Snoop Dogg, All-American Rejects, Nas and Fitz and the Tantrums will take a seat on the couch.
It was announced earlier this week that NBC would be rolling out comprehensive Super Bowl coverage leading up to the big game, a matchup between the New York Giants and New England Patriots. This marks the first time Late Night With Jimmy Fallon has hit the road for shows since Fallon took the reins in 2009.
Rockers Maroon 5 have abandoned their post-Grammy Awards ritual of celebrating at a favourite Mexican hotspot after learning the owners were among those championing the bill that made gay marriage in California illegal.
The Moves Like Jagger hitmakers, who are nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at next month’s prizegiving, have “bailed” on their traditional post-Grammys hang-out.
Frontman Adam Levine explains the band is now looking for a new party place.
He tells People magazine,
“We used to go to this Mexican restaurant to celebrate after the Grammys but the place supported the movement to make gay marriage illegal (in California) so we bailed on that.”
