Red Pill Blues is the sixth studio album by Maroon 5. It was released on November 3, 2017, by 222 and Interscope Records. The title of the album refers to the science fiction term of taking the red pill or the blue pill, which originated from the 1999 sci-fi film The Matrix. The album is the follow-up to their fifth studio album V (2014) and features guest appearances from ASAP Rocky, SZA, LunchMoney Lewis and Julia Michaels.

Adam Levine might not hate America, but he’s apparently not a big fan of the response that he received after saying he did.

“The Voice” coach groused about the reaction to his offhand “I hate this country” comment, which he muttered into a hot mic on the show earlier this year because he was frustrated by voting results on an episode. He said what followed was “stupid media hype.”

“If your intentions are good, if someone misunderstands you, regardless of what the scenario is, I think people can see through stupid media hype — no offense,”

Levine said at a Television Critics Association panel, addressing a room full of reporters.

“As long as you allow yourself to be who you are, you can’t really defend every single thing you say,” Levine added.

Levine and his “Voice” cohorts Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Carson Daly also addressed the show’s track record with breaking new talent. While the show, which is going into its fifth cycle in September, has yet to produce a breakout star, Levine and the others emphasized that its primary goal is to support and nurture talent, not to push it to the top of the charts.

“There’s been a lot of success depending on how you define the term success,” said Levine, who also noted, “if you’re not in the negative in this business, you’re succeeding.”

“The immediacy of winning and becoming a huge star is a fairy tale that I’d love to see take place, but it’s still a fairy tale,” he added.

     News&Rumors

Adam Levine‘s first major film, biopics on Jimi Hendrix and British singer Paul Potts, and a documentary on Alice Cooper’s outlandish manager will make their premieres as part of the Toronto International Film Festival in September.

The festival, which opens Sept. 5, is often considered the starting point for numerous films that go on to become significant awards contenders. In recent years, it has also had major music stars — Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Neil Young — on hand to promote documentaries. The festival announced gala screenings and premieres on Wednesday morning.

Levine, the Maroon 5 front man and coach on NBC’s “The Voice,” stars in “Can a Song Save Your Life?” with Keira Knightly, Mark Ruffalo and Catherine Keener. Directed by “Once” writer-director John Carney, the film is a music industry drama about an undiscovered young singer and a washed-up producer.

Adam Wins Over Behati Prinsloo’s Family

     News&Rumors

When it comes to walking down the aisle, every groom-to-be knows you’re not just marrying the future bride, you’re saying “I do” to her entire family.

So when Adam Levine was wooing Behati Prinsloo, he was also trying to win over her parents. And just like their daughter, they say yes!

“I have the greatest respect for Adam, the way he handled the whole situation, Behati as well,” Behati’s father Boet Prinsloo told Celebuzz.

“We talked to each other and he presented himself in such a way to me that I appreciate him for that.”

The 24-year-old Victoria’s Secret Angel, who snagged one of Hollywood’s most perpetual bachelors, is from South Africa where her parents own a bed & breakfast in the bordering country of Namibia.

“Every choice that my daughter makes with anyone in her life we’d be happy to have them as part of the family. And we are happy to have Adam as part of the family,” he added.

And who knew the 34-year-old rocker was so traditional.

His future in-laws admitted they were aware of the proposal before female hearts were broken around the world when news made headlines that the Maroon 5 frontman’s own heart was permanently taken by the supermodel.

“We did talk before he asked her,” admitted Boet.

But surprisingly he’s never met his famous future son-in-law.

“We haven’ t met in person yet,” he revealed.

So will a wedding in South Africa be the perfect countryside backdrop for their nuptials and a first-time family reunion?

Actually, this proud papa thinks the “I do’s” will be better suited in the States.

“I don’t think it’s practically a good thing because the whole family on the other side is over there [in the U.S.] So it’s best if we go there.”

Just days after the The Voice judge and his fiancee confirmed (to everyone’s surprise) that they’d reconciled and she said yes, the South African beauty was spotted showing off her new left hand bauble to friends NYC at Mercer Kitchen.

And she couldn’t hold back her enthusiasm in an interview with ET Canada, calling her diamond accessory “perfect!”

“I am so happy and excited and still can’t believe it’s true!” she said. “It was a one-knee thing! It was serious, it was very old school!”
