It’s no secret that President Barack Obama’s Affordable Care Act has hit some major roadblocks, but he’s hoping a little help from his celebrity friends will get the public interested again.
The Commander-in-Chief enlisted People’s Sexiest Man Alive Adam Levine as the frontman for the new “Tell a Friend- Get Covered” initiative launching December 12.
Along with the “Wake Up Call” crooner, stars like Tatyana Ali, Fran Drescher, and Kal Penn have all joined in to show support for Obamacare.
Covered California executive director Peter Lee explained,
“The idea is a drumbeat of dialogue, a drumbeat of discussion about coverage — not about glitches, not about the politics, not about the pundits.”
“The goal of the campaign is to have more than 100 million contacts by friends talking to friends about the whys and hows of getting insurance coverage.”
