Red Pill Blues is the sixth studio album by Maroon 5. It was released on November 3, 2017, by 222 and Interscope Records. The title of the album refers to the science fiction term of taking the red pill or the blue pill, which originated from the 1999 sci-fi film The Matrix. The album is the follow-up to their fifth studio album V (2014) and features guest appearances from ASAP Rocky, SZA, LunchMoney Lewis and Julia Michaels.
What birthday gift can you get for the Voice coach who has everything?
The answer, according to this fun clip exclusive to E! News, is you get the entire celeb cast of The Voice together for one big tribute video.
Adam Levine turns 38 years old (or 40, if you ask Blake Shelton) on Saturday, March 18, so his coworkers and costars got together to wish him a big Happy Birthday. Levine is constantly surrounded by the biggest stars in music and is one of those stars himself, but still, it’s (probably) not every year that Céline Dion sings just for him.
Now in his 12th season on “The Voice”, Adam told Howard on Wednesday that he’s still having fun as a coach on the NBC reality series and gets along great with all of his fellow A-list judges. His costar Alicia Keys is somewhat new to the spinning chairs and Adam had nothing but nice things to say about her, although she definitely had something to say to him after he caught her putting on makeup backstage.
“She was putting on a little bit of makeup”, Adam explained. Keys famously goes without any makeup most of the time, a move she has said helped her better understand herself. When Adam asked why she was wearing makeup that day, Alicia playfully replied, “I do what the fuck I want!”
Howard also asked Adam what’s it’s been like on the set of “The Voice” since Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton went public with their romance.
“If you had told me that Blake Shelton would be with Gwen Stefani, I would have told you ‘you’re out of your fucking mind’ but it’s so wrong that it’s right”, Adam said. “I don’t think that you can really control those types of matters of the heart. I think they found each other at a really interesting time in their lives and I see it as a beautiful thing.”
Howard assumed a good looking guy like Adam must get hit on by a lot of the show’s contestants but according to Levine, no one in “The Voice’s” six-year history has ever tried to make a move on him. As for why one of the winners of “The Voice” has yet to become a megastar, Adam blamed the record label for mishandling talent during his 2015 visit to the Stern Show. On Wednesday, he again expressed his disappointment in the label, but also said he’s hopeful a change is going to come.
“I think that it’s a combination of the label dropping the ball and also something that is impossible to put your finger on, which I don’t believe is anybody’s fault”, Adam said. “I’m still optimistic that we can do it, to be honest with you. We can launch somebody”.
Musician, father and husband, Adam Levine is keeping busy as he comes back for his 12th season as a coach on “The Voice”. He dishes on his bromance with Blake Shelton, saying the show is ultimately a family, and also talks about his new music.
Adam and his wife Behati Prinsloo are having a little healthy competition over their 6-month-old daughter Dusty Rose‘s first words!
While making an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday (March 14) in New York City, the 37-year-old entertainer revealed that he wants Dusty‘s first word to be “dada” over “mama” for Behati.
“I’ve been working ‘dada’ hard. You work on it really hard and you do slip it into every single thing you say”, Adam told Jimmy. “If she’s being cute, you’re like, ‘Oh my god, Look at how cute you are! Dada!’ We’ve gotten some ‘dada-esque’ sounds but nothing concrete but I’m working super hard at it. And my wife is working ‘mama’, so it’s a battle to the finish”.
Adam also talked about coaching on The Voice and later hit the stage with his Maroon 5 bandmates to perform their latest hit single, “Cold”.
